                                            Attendance Monitoring Process

• If a student is absent three consecutive days, teachers notify the parent.
• If a student has continued excessive absences, teachers will then complete a Social Work referral form.
• If a student reaches ten or more days of absence, the Attendance Team then makes parent contact and documents the details of the communication and continues to monitor the attendance of the student.
• If the absences continue, then further steps are taken, including social worker and agency involvement.
